NEW DELHI, March 10 (Xinhua) -- At least four people belonging to Indian coastguard, including a pilot, were injured Saturday after a helicopter carrying them crashlanded in western state of Maharashtra, local media reports said.
The helicopter crashlanded near Nandgaon in Raigad district, about 160 km south of Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra.
"All four crew members of the helicopter were rescued and flown to the naval hospital INHS Asvini in Mumbai," a local media report quoted officials as saying. "The woman pilot who has suffered injuries is being treated."
Reports said coastguard personnel on board were carrying out coastal surveillance when their helicopter developed a technical snag and crashlanded.
The reason for the crashlanding has yet to be ascertained.
