PARIS, June 19 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down by 1.10 percent, or 59.85 points, to close at 5,390.63 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 36 lost in the day.
STMicroelectronics, a French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer tumbled 4.11 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Steel giant ArcelorMittal went down by 3.84 percent and French luxury group Kering lost 2.97 percent.
Public relations company Publicis Groupe advanced 1.50 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services TECHNIPFMC rose 0.67 percent and Vinci, French company in concessions and construction, went up by 0.62 percent. Enditem
