WASHINGTON, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- U.S. retail and food services sales rose slightly in November, according to an advance estimate released by U.S. Census Bureau on Friday.
The retail and food services sales stood at 513.5 billion U.S. dollars in November, which was 0.2 percent higher than the reading of the previous month. Over the year, the reading rose 4.2 percent.
According to the bureau, retail trade sales rose 0.3 percent from October, while the reading was 4.0 percent higher than the same period in 2017.
Notably, sales of non-store retailers surged 10.8 percent from a year ago, while sales at gasoline stations rose 8.2 percent from November 2017.
Meanwhile, the bureau said that retail and food services sales in October were revised up to 1.1 percent from 0.8 percent. Enditem
