WASHINGTON, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Playing his 21st season, former NBA star Vince Carter has already set his eyes on the 22nd season, local media reported on Friday.
"I think I could stretch it out one more," the 42-year-old Atlanta Hawks veteran was quoted by the ESPN as saying on Friday. "At the end of the year, I usually assess from top to bottom to see how I'm feeling. And when the phone call rings and teams show interest, that's a good thing."
"I think I could give it another year. So why not?" Carter added. "We'll see what happens."
The fifth overall pick in 1998 draft, Carter spent the first six seasons of his career with the Toronto Raptors before he moved on to the then-New Jersey Nets. He also played for the Memphis Grizzlies, the Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Kings and the Orlando Magic.
