KIEV, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Kiev has expanded the list of Russian organizations and individuals subject to sanctions over their alleged role in the Ukrainian crisis, the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) said Friday.
According to a statement on the NSDC website, the updated sanctions list includes 1,759 individuals and 786 entities, up from 1,748 persons and 756 entities listed last month.
In particular, several Russian political parties, including the ruling United Russia, the Communist Party of Russia, and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, were added to the sanctions list.
Since 2015, Kiev has imposed sanctions on Russian entities and individuals, freezing their assets and banning them from entering Ukraine and working there.
